Senior Centers

Responsible Reopening

August 20, 2020 -- Governor DeWine announced that

Ohio senior centers could reopen on September 21.

This order includes many requirements and safety protocols

the centers must follow; this could make it challenging for all

centers to open by this date.

Planning and preparations have been in the works for several months at all centers, but each senior center will have a different plan for when they reopen, what schedule they will have, and what activities and programs will be offered.

Some of the protocols you can expect are masks, hand washing, increased sanitation measures, screenings prior to in-person contact, daily log of participants, limited capacity, and distancing. To reduce contact, grouping of participants will be used when scheduling activities.

Virtual programming will continue, along with new activities.

Some activities will not available yet, such as euchre and board games, carry-in meals, and outings. This is an adjustment for all, so we will need to practice great patience.

Please contact your local senior center for more information.

See this document for locations and contact numbers.
